The Fravashi story begins with its Chairman – Mr. Ratan Luth whose personal commitment to Nashik’s development is both rare and remarkable. Born and raised in the city, Mr. Ratan Luth, saw education not just as a service, but as a social responsibility. Under his leadership, Fravashi became more than a school – it became a living institution where character is built, careers are shaped, and a community is nurtured. Mr. Ratan Luth’s investment wasn’t limited to infrastructure; it was in people. Teachers became mentors, support staff became administrators, and every child, no matter their background, found space to grow. In a tier-two city like Nashik, such human resource development at scale is nothing short of transformative.

Today, the Fravashi Group serves over 9,000 students across four institutions:

• Fravashi Academy – the flagship ICSE school, is now one of Nashik’s most respected educational institutions.
• Fravashi International Academy (FIA) – Nashik’s first Cambridge Curriculum school, shaping global citizens with a strong Indian core.
• Fravashi Town Academy (FTA) – a rebirth of the iconic Boys’ Town Public School, now reimagined with Fravashi values and future-forward pedagogy.
• Pink & Blue Paradise Playschool – where Nashik’s youngest learners take their first steps into a nurturing world of structured exploration.

Together, these schools have created a 20,000+ strong alumni network, many of whom now walk the corridors as parents, mentors, and leaders.

Under the able leadership of Mr. Ratan Luth, over 1200 team members happily take care of students at all the institutions.

In 2002, Mr. Ratan Luth took over as Chairman of R.S. Luth Education Trust, a pioneer in premier education since 1978. Under his leadership, Fravashi Academy (FA) became the first ISO 9001-2008 certified school in North Maharashtra and was honoured as the Convenor for all ICSE schools of Nashik for the 6^th consecutive year. Recently Fravashi Academy bagged No 1 Rank in Nashik and No 4 in Maharashtra and No 9 in India under the India’s Top 20 ICSE school’s category at the India School Merit Awards 2025.

In 2006, he founded Fravashi International Academy (FIA), the first institution in Nashik to offer the Cambridge International Education (CIE) curriculum. Originally established as a day and boarding school, FIA transitioned into an exclusive day school in 2020. It boasts world-class infrastructure, technology integration, the city’s largest astro-turf, state-of-the-art art and music studios, temperature-controlled swimming pool and a reputation for global academic excellence. Fravashi International Academy has been felicitated as No. 1 in Nashik & No 4 in Maharashtra and No 6 in India in India’s Top 20 International School’s Category (IB/ CIE) at India School Merit Awards organized by Education Today 2025. FIA also received No 1 in Nashik and Maharashtra and No 8 in India in India’s Top 20 Preschools Category. Mr. Ratan Luth’s eye for quality is also evident in the ISO-certified kitchen at Fravashi International Academy, which ensures nutritious, hygienic meals for students.

In 2022, Mr. Ratan Luth took over as Chairman of P.N. Mehta Educational Trust, which manages Fravashi Town Academy (FTA), a leading Co-Ed Maharashtra State Board school with a historic legacy dating back to 1944. As an alumnus of the school, he has infused his alma mater with new energy and direction. In 2025, Fravashi Town Academy was awarded as the ‘Most Culturally Progressive ‘School at the Mimamsa School Awards.

With a vision for early childhood education, in 2022, he founded Pink and Blue Paradise, a state-of-the-art playschool providing a nurturing environment for toddlers. The playschool has been awarded the ‘Best Emerging Preschool of the Year’ in the Nashik region at the Mimamsa School Awards, Pune Chapter 2024 by Athos Edusolutions. Within a year of its inception, it was also recognised under the category of ‘Emerging Preschool’ among India’s Best 50 Preschools at Education Today’s India School Merit Awards 2023. In the year 2024, Pink and Blue Paradise Playschool created history by hosting Nashik’s first ever exclusive Sports Day for play schoolers.

A visionary leader, Mr. Ratan Luth pioneered the celebration of Secularism Day (November 14), Girls’ Day (March 9), and Support Star Day, Grandparents Club etc reinforcing Fravashi’s commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and gratitude.

Mr. Ratan Luth’s strong philanthropic ethos is deeply embedded in the Fravashi Group of Schools’ culture. His charitable initiatives include:

• 16+ years of providing fresh breakfast to nearby Anganwadis daily.
• Adoption of 80+ children, providing them free education at Fravashi Schools.
• Fravashi schools were the only schools to offer a 50% discount in the school fees during the Covid-19 pandemic, a gesture that was much appreciated across the parent community.
• Merit-based scholarships, offering full fee waivers to academic toppers.
• Gifting textbooks and stationery supplies to the academic toppers.
• Financial assistance from the Chairman’s Fund for school support staff in emergencies.
• ‘Kelvan’ initiative to support daughters of the support staff before their marriage with essential household items along with a special meal for the family.
• Red Padding Project – Interact Club students of FIA raised ₹1,70,000 to provide 240 underprivileged girls with reusable sanitary pads, alongside menstrual hygiene awareness programs.
• Transformation of Janta Vidyalaya boarding school at Girnare, Nashik
• Renovation of toilet blocks, installation of water facilities, replacement of temporary cement-sheet roofs, shaded space for meals, beautification of the compound wall along with the renovation and painting of classrooms and kitchen etc at Torangaon ZP school, Harsul.
• Donation drives for books, blankets, sweaters, and other essentials for supporting Anganwadi schools.
• Blood donation camps and the ‘Wari Pilgrimage Food Service’ initiative to serve the community.
• Fravashi Town Academy’s Carnival 2024 – a city-wide event to raise funds for underprivileged children’s education.

Driven with an urge towards social welfare commitment & with his vast knowledge & experience in the legal field, in 2019-20, he established RSL Noble Consultancy Services LLP, a full-service legal consultancy firm in Nashik and Mumbai, the first of its kind in Nashik, offering a one-stop solution for legal and diverse allied requirements. Being a Social activist, he had filed various petitions & PILs in the Hon. High Court with a fruitful outcome each time.

Mr. Ratan Luth’s dedication to social causes has led to several impactful Public Interest Litigations (PILs) interventions. His PIL against unauthorized hoardings in Nashik resulted in a High Court verdict enhancing the city’s aesthetics, while another successfully challenged an illegal construction by an ex-corporator, leading to its demolition due to unlawful activities. His efforts also exposed a fuel adulteration racket in Nashik, prompting necessary legal action. Concerned about youth welfare, he petitioned against the sale of liquor and tobacco at the Sunburn Music Festival, leading to regulatory measures. Another PIL compelled the Nashik Municipal Corporation to audit its open spaces, curbing unauthorized usage. He also challenged the delay in appointing 12 MLCs, securing a favourable High Court ruling to ensure proper representation. His petition against irregularities in Air India’s content distribution exposed unfair practices, safeguarding sensitive public sector information. Above and many more PILs are in progress with the sole objective of keeping Nashik city clean and safe.

In addition , Mr. Ratan Luth’s culinary flair has earned him invitations to esteemed culinary events, including a recent masterclass conducted at the Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts and Nutrition Sciences, Symbiosis University, Pune.
